Vim Job Fair was held on June 25 and 26 in Sulaymaniyah; more than 50 companies participated, offering more than 1900 job opportunities in total.
The goal of the fair was to help job seekers and fresh graduates find employment. It was also an important opportunity for job seekers to personally meet the company representative.
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, visited the fair and said, “I thank Vim Foundation for this crucial and vital fair. As the government, we support such fairs and applaud the organizers.”
Supporting the youth and developing their skills has been one of Vim Foundation’s main objectives since the beginning, and a significant number of young people have benefitted from the foundation’s aid.
Lava Hikmat, president of Vim Foundation, said, “One of the principles that Vim Foundation is working for is developing the youth, and Vim Job Fair is part of that framework. The fair will become an annual event, and we will support the young people in every possible way.”
According to the data, around 10 thousand job seekers attended the fair in the span of two days, looking for suitable work opportunities.
Ahmad Nawzad, one of the job seekers who attended the fair, said, “The job fair was an important opportunity for job seekers because a large number of companies are present, and you can meet the company’s representatives in person. Moreover, a great number of job opportunities are offered.”
